Are you feeling anxious? Do you know what is causing your anxiety?  Many people are not aware what causes them anxiety, but know it is a very real feeling.  On a daily basis I help clients talk over their feelings and find ways to cope with their anxiety.
Often, people are not aware that they are feeling anxious. They feel very confused and unable to understand what is going on for them.

Dealing with these feelings over time makes many feel that it will pass and that they need to keep going and even ignore it.

When we explore together client's lifestyles and what might be going on, it often comes to light so many different things happening in their personal and work life.  For example, they may have responsibilities of running a house and brining up children, being a carer for their parents or family members, massive social commitments and high pressured workload and work pressures.

Clients are referred to me via an Employment Assistance Programme.  It is often because of anxiety due to their workload being unbearable, unrealistic and unachievable.

It is very common that many employees say they are not able to talk about how they feel to their manager or to their colleagues as they fear coming across as weak or feeling not heard, listened to or understood.  In some cases they have been told everyone at work is in a similar situation so they need to just get on with it.

There are times when employees can talk to their manager or work colleagues.  They have been given some support internally and they have been guided to seek help externally through their Employment Assistance Programme.  This has had resulted in positive results by finding ways to cope with and manage a demanding workload.
