It is quite stressful time for many of us. We are facing uncertainty and that is making us all anxious, stressed. Find 5 tips below to help you to get through this difficult times.
1) Have a routine:
Make sure you have some sort of routine on a daily basis. Your day doesn't have to be filled with activities but there are certain activities you can put in place on a daily basis to give you some sense of normality. E.g. waking up at certain regular time, putting some activities as shown in the following tips
Add some form of physical and mental exercise into your routine
Go for a walk. If sun is out then it would great to get some Vitamin D
There are so many free online exercise available for you to choose from which will keep healthy and fit.
Learn some breathing exercises, learn to meditate or mindfulness which will keep your mind calm and relaxed.
3) Stimulate your brain:
It is important to keep your brain stimulated otherwise negative thinking, overthinking will take over and make you more anxious and stressed.
There are so many free online courses and resources available. Read books that you have not had chance to read or listen to audio books. Learn new skills.
Minimise your social media and news and only look at the authorised sources for correct information around your fears.
4) Communicate and Network:
Before this we all were so busy running around, working and trying to manage work life balance which hadn't been that easy. Things we had taken for granted. Now is the time to reconnect with our loved ones. Make amends in our relationships and speak more and take care of each other.
This is the time to network and connect with people that you have had very little time to do.
This is very important. We all need to accept the situation we are in. It is happening and it is going to be here for a while. We all can do our part by following government's guidelines and keep ourselves and others safe.
Learn to see things from a different perspective and try to find a silver lining.
